My conviction as a citizen compels me to run for office and work to improve conditions in the state of Georgia, advocating for small businesses and encouraging innovation from startup companies. There is a place for everyone in our country; we just have to ensure a level playing field for all.
About Me
I am 38 years old and have lived in Georgia since 2012. I have two children, aged 10 and 12 (4th and 7th grade), and a wife who is currently finishing up graduate school to become a librarian. I love science, I love books, and I love tinkering with new inventions. I was born in Michigan, grew up in California, went to college in Upstate New York, and moved to Georgia for my first job in the battery industry. After working as a battery engineer for many years, I returned to school at the University of North Georgia and earned an MBA. I currently work at GE Vernova as a Director of Product Management, leading the development of Battery Energy Storage Systems to store renewable energy and reduce our reliance on fossil fuels.
I hold a Bachelor's in Applied Physics, a Master's in Materials Science and Engineering, and an MBA with a certificate in entrepreneurship and innovation, earned in 2021. I have a granted patent in battery technology, I have authored several publications and industry articles, and frequently give talks at battery conferences around the country.
